Once your order is complete you receive a download link by email, and you can save the file to your phone, tablet or computer and print it if you prefer to knit from paper. The pattern is yours to keep and re-download, so you can knit it as many times as you like. The accessories are the place to start. The Hazel Scarf is knitted in Fibreknit on 8mm needles, so it grows quickly and needs only a few balls — a genuine one-or-two-evening project. The Bramble Hat, Sloe Snood, Bramble Snood and Tansy Bandana are all small, worked mostly in straightforward stitch patterns, and use one or two hanks. From there the slipovers and tanks are a sensible step up before a full sweater, because there are no sleeves to set in. Every pattern page states its skill level so you can judge before you buy.

Yes, as long as you match the tension. Each pattern names the Bramble & Fleece yarn it was written for and gives the stitches and rows to 10cm, and any yarn that meets that tension on a swatch will work. The nearest swaps within the range are straightforward: Sheepsoft 4 Ply and Wooltrace 4 Ply share the same tension, and the DK weights are interchangeable on 4mm needles. Bear in mind that handle differs even at the same gauge — a pattern designed around crisp British Romney will look softer and drape more in Bluefaced Leicester. The garment patterns are written across a range of adult sizes, with the finished measurements and the recommended amount of ease given so you can choose based on your actual bust or chest measurement rather than a dress size. Accessories such as hats, snoods, scarves and bandanas are generally one size, sometimes with a smaller and larger option. The full size range and finished measurements are listed on each individual pattern page, and the yarn quantity is given per size so you know how much to buy before you start.
