About Orry Yarn Kits

What's included in an Orry Yarn kit?

Orry Yarn Merino DK in the shades the design needs, the pattern, and access to Yarn School video tutorials for the techniques involved. You just add needles — everything else to make the project is in the box.

Are the kits suitable for beginners?

Yes. They're complete learning packages: soft, forgiving merino DK with clear stitch definition, plus Yarn School videos that walk you through each step. Beginner kits like the Orry Fern Beanie are a good first project.

What is Yarn School?

The Orry Mill's online learning platform. Every kit comes with video tutorials for the techniques in that pattern, so you can follow along at your own pace rather than working from written instructions alone.

Can I choose the colour of my kit?

Where a design works in more than one shade, the options are shown on the product page. Orry Yarn's 16-colour palette is designed so every shade works together — knit the sample colourway or swap in one that suits you.

What needles do I need?

Orry Yarn Merino DK knits on 4mm needles, which aren't included in the kit. If you're starting out, we stock needles in the shop and online and can help you pick the right ones.
