Orry Yarn Patterns
The Patterns
The Orry the long, A-shaped green running through the centre of Eaglesham was laid out by the Earl of Eglinton, with the original cotton mill sitting at its heart. That blend of landscape, work, and craft shaped the village, and it’s part of the wider Ayrshire story we come from. From the Eglinton estate to the mills of Darvel and the islands off the west coast, this part of Scotland is woven through everything we make.
For us, craft is heritage as much as creativity something lived, learned, passed on. These kits celebrate that lineage while offering contemporary, wearable design rooted in place.
The patterns are currently being worked on, ultimately we have limited samples of our yarn and we need to rewrite the existing patterns to Orry Yarn and create the new designs.
Below is the proposed list of designs and working sketches to give a feel of what they will look like and the number of balls of yarn they will use.
