Rib & Moss Fingerless Gloves - Beginner Knitting Pattern
Designed by Tilde Olsen
The Rib & Moss Fingerless Gloves are knitted as a textured squares first in rib to hug your wrist the in moss stitch to cover your hand and finished with a garter stitch edge and an Icelandic cast off, then folded in half and seamed, leaving a gap for the thumb.
This pattern is designed as the third step in The Orry Mill Yarn School's Learn to Knit Series and the aim is to teach you how to combine the knit and purl stitch to make new textures.
The pattern is using DK (Double Knitting) yarn, a finer weight yarn than previous lessons, This is to start getting used to thinner yarn for more complex and detailed knits, but still remain a quick and satisfying knit aimed at the beginner knitter.
