Sophie Scarf - Knitting Kit

The Sophie Scarf is worked back and forth in one piece, from tip to tip in garter stitch with built-in i-cord edges. The smaller size Sophie Scarf reaches around the neck once, while the larger size can wrap around the neck twice.
We love this scarf so much that we have put the kit together in three yarns. One is PetiteKnit's own recommendation, and two are ours.
Lang Yarns Cashmere Premium - 1 x 25g (115m) for the small, 2 for the large. The yarn PetiteKnit recommend for this pattern, and 100% pure cashmere. It knits to exactly the gauge the pattern is written for, so there is no adjusting to do, and it makes the Sophie Scarf about as luxurious as a small amount of knitting can be. The obvious choice if the scarf is a present.
Orry Yarn Merino DK - 1 x 50g (115m) for the small, 2 for the large. Our own yarn, 100% merino, in sixteen shades drawn from the west coast. It has crisp stitch definition, which suits garter stitch better than you might expect, and the i-cord edges come out neat and defined. Hand wash only.
Rowan Kid Classic - 1 x 50g (140m), enough for either size. A blend of 70% lambswool, 22% kid mohair and 8% polyamide, and our personal favourite for the Sophie Scarf. Although it is sold as an aran weight it is light and airy and behaves like a DK here. You may want to use 4mm or 4.5mm needles with it, and there is still enough in the ball for the larger scarf.
