End of Dye Lot
Dye Lot refers to the slight colour difference between yarns dyed in different dye lots. Sometimes we find ourselves with the occasional ball or two of yarn not matching our current dye lot and would like to offer these at a reduced price.
Sandnes Garn - Kos
Kos consists of alpaca fibres that are combined with wool and blown into a nylon stocking. This results in a soft, light and airy yarn.
Alpaca is about three times warmer than ordinary wool and thus insulates well. The fibre is hollow and breathable, so it feels warm in cold temperatures and cool in warm ones. The wool added to this blend provides resilience and volume. Both alpaca and wool have good heat-regulating properties.
For machine washing, we recommend that all wool garments be washed separately on a wool program, to ensure the gentlest treatment. Centrifuge well and dry the garment flat, preferably on top of a towel. Never use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted wool garments. This creates friction that can cause the garment to felt.
